Jack Hitchins is an oil painter and illustrator from Roanoke, VA. Jack’s personal style has been informed by finding a balance between observed realistic rendering and impactful graphic simplicity. These dual qualities can be seen in his portrait and landscape commissions as well as personal projects. While having a fondness for striking imagery, Jack is also greatly inspired by the written word, and has implemented his background in creative writing to benefit the projects of serval original comics and storyboards. He has a BFA in Communication Arts from VCU School of the Arts. He currently resides in Richmond, VA with his partner, Laurel, and dog, Kuma.
